Haletha Judkins first realized her writing ability when the words “Excellent Story!!!” appeared at the top of a short science fiction story she wrote for a seventh-grade English class assignment (never underestimate the power of a teacher). Since that first story, she has spent a considerable amount of her life pursuing her passion for writing. One day she hopes to become a published novelist and short story writer. She recently received an Honorable Mention in the Whim’s Place Flash Fiction Contest for her short story, “A Running Man’s Last Run.”
Haletha received a BS in Professional Writing from the University of Houston. By day she's a technical writer for a software company. By night she offers freelance technical, marketing and web information development through creativeleeatwork.com
When she's not writing, she also enjoys reading, oil and watercolor painting and spectator sports. She lives in Austin, Texas, with the supreme loves of her life: husband Dennis, mother Barbara and feline animal child, Myles.
