He developed a love for books as the child of parents who were often seen reading. His taste for speculative fiction comes from his dad. C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien influence his writing and Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, Ray Bradbury and Frank Peretti round out his favorite authors. His current projects include blogging, world building, various short stories, a spec-fic novel and a dramatic screenplay.

James Woods shares his name with the famous actor, but only occasionally dabbles in the performing arts. He recently performed a dramatic reading for a church youth group. He resides in Odessa, TX with his wife, two children and wienie dog.
