Vanessa McDaniel is a native Texan who has never owned a real pair of
cowgirl boots. She is an avid fiction reader, and her dream is to write and
sell so many books that she merits her own shelf in bookstores and
libraries.
She has been married to a gorgeous man for ten years. They are blessed to
have an energetic two-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl who is destined
to be prom queen/class president.
Vanessa spent years handling regulatory and executive-level complaints for a
telecommunications company. This taught her how to write a professional
apology letter in her sleep. Job dissatisfaction led her to help pioneer
the process that transformed her job into a telecommuting position. Not
long after promoting to a training position, she hopped off the corporate
ladder to be a full-time mom.
Vanessa is a member of Writer's Block, a Dallas-based group of writers.
She is currently editing her first novel, Beige, the story of a woman who
keeps picking the wrong men. A partial for Beige is under review by an
agency. Her second novel, a story of forbidden love, is in the works.
